Shanghai Metro Line 2


Shanghai Metro Line 2, also known as Shanghai Rail Transit Line 2, is the second underground metro line in Shanghai. Operated by Shanghai Metro Line 2 Operation Co., Ltd., it officially opened on June 11, 2000. Subsequently, extensions were added to the east and west, including stations at Hongqiao Railway Station and Zhangjiang Hi-Tech Park. The line runs from Xujing East Station in Qingpu District in the west, passing Nanjing Road, crossing the Huangpu River, and reaching the Zhangjiang Hi-Tech Park in Pudong New Area. It then continues through Tangzhen, Chuansha, and other areas, finally arriving at Pudong International Airport. As of August 2014, the line is 64 kilometers long with 30 stations, including transfer stations.
